A history of the Swedish “Fika”

The Swedish “fika” has become a sensation, even in New York!

This is a guided tour with a dramatic twist. The story plays out in Fredriksdal’s old town quarter during the first half of the 1900s. You will meet some local women at Hedström’s General Store and in a back garden, you will take part in coffee history, sample a coffee substitute (from the 1940’s) and get an idea of what a general store looked like in Helsingborg during the 1900s.

You can also choose to end the tour with a traditional Swedish “fika” and seven different types of cookies.
